Dean Byrne
Counsellor / Psychotherapist
Dean Byrne is a fully qualified and accredited therapist, holding a degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from IICP College. He is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and works in accordance with the IACP’s Code of Ethics and Practice.
Having experienced therapy himself, Dean understands that taking the first step towards seeking support can sometimes feel challenging. He recognises the courage involved in beginning a therapeutic journey and brings this understanding into his work with each client. Dean places particular importance on developing a strong therapeutic relationship, creating a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where clients can feel comfortable exploring whatever may be happening in their lives.
Dean’s approach is primarily person-centred, while his integrative training allows him to adapt his approach to suit the individual needs of each client. He believes that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy and works collaboratively with clients to find an approach that feels right for them.
Dean has experience supporting clients with a range of issues, including anxiety, anger, relationship difficulties, work-related stress and personal challenges. He welcomes clients experiencing a wide variety of concerns and understands that, at times, people may simply feel that something in their lives is not quite right without knowing exactly where to begin.
Whether you are facing a specific difficulty or simply looking for a space to talk and better understand yourself, Dean aims to provide a supportive environment in which clients can explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences at their own pace.
