Deirdre’s approach is founded on humanistic and integrative psychotherapy, working primarily from a person-centred perspective integrating various theories based on each clients needs. Approaching her work from a collaborative, neuro-affirming and trauma informed stance, she creates a space where clients can explore their challenges safely, free from opinions, expectations, or judgments. She values the uniqueness of each individual and views her clients through a strengths-based lens, believing that they possess the inherent resources needed to create meaningful change in their lives. She is committed to nurturing client autonomy, empowering individuals to take an active role in their healing process. She works with various issues, including but not confined to, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and bereavement, however she does have a specific interest in working with neuro-divergent individuals, relationship difficulties and trauma.
